- Master of Science (Biotechnology) in 1994 - 1996 at Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University , Bangkok . Thesis title: “ Cloning and sequencing of acetate kinase gene (ACK), a gene involved in propanediol utilization from Salmonella typhimurium ”.
- PhD (Molecular Biology) in 1997 - 200 0 at Institute of Cell and Molecular Biology, University of Edinburgh , UK . Thesis title: “ Molecular evolution of nuclear ribosomal DNA in Aeschynanthus and Streptocarpus (Gesneriaceae) ”.
